About CubicCabin

Why CubicCabin exists, how it works, and the principles behind our free in-browser calculators.

Why we built this

CubicCabin began with a common problem: you are standing in a hardware store, or planning a weekend project, and you need to know how much stuff to buy — how many bags of concrete, how much gravel for a driveway, how many bricks for a wall. The math is not hard, but it is easy to get wrong, and a wrong estimate means a second trip or a pile of wasted material.

So we built a set of clear, no-nonsense construction and home-improvement calculators that do the arithmetic for you and explain the formula behind each answer, so you can check it yourself.

How it works

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type stay on your device — nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and there are no limits. Because there is no server doing the work, the tools are fast, private, and free, and they keep working even offline once the page has loaded.

What we cover

CubicCabin covers concrete, masonry, decking, roofing, soil and aggregate, paint, and framing — the everyday estimating jobs that come up on real projects. Each tool includes a worked example and a short explanation of the formula, plus sensible defaults (like a waste allowance) that you can adjust for your specific job.

How we keep it free

CubicCabin is supported by unobtrusive advertising and runs on a small static-hosting budget. That is what keeps the calculators free, unlimited, and free of paywalls. You can read how our ad and analytics partners handle data in our Privacy Policy.
